“In Search of Houston’s History”

Produced in cooperation with the Houston Public Library, this 60 minute documentary takes the viewer on an exploration of the invaluable archival collections of the Houston Metropolitan Research Center found in the Julia Ideson Building. The history of Houston is revealed through the use of old photographs, vintage maps, historic documents and personal recollection. Viewers learn about Houston's African American and Latin American communities, the city's architecture, old movie palaces and historic landmarks, and much more.
